Description
Diantimony trioxide is a white powder. It is insoluble in water. The primary hazard is the threat to the environment. Immediate steps should be taken to limit its spread to the environment. Diantimony trioxide is used to fireproof fabrics, paper and plastics, as a paint pigment and for many other uses.

Application
1. It is used to impart flame retardancy to plastics. It is also used as a white pigment. Antimony oxide is widely used in the preparation of fire retardant paint in conjunction with chlorine containing resins. It is also used to modify the heavy chalking characteristics of anatase form of titanium oxide.
2. It is used in flame retardant synergist. It is helpful in the production of plastics, rubber, textiles, adhasives, fiberglass and paper.
3. It is used as a coating, polymerisation catalyst, fire retardant paints, fining agent or as degasser and frictional additive.
Storge & Handling
Store in tightly closed containers in a cool, well-ventilatedarea away from heat, strong oxidizers, acids. Store separately from food ingredients, BRF3 and chlorinated rubber.
