Tall Oil Fatty Acids (TOFA), CAS 61790-12-3, are a mixture of fatty acids obtained from tall oil, a by-product of the kraft pulping process used in the manufacture of wood pulp. Commercial TOFA is typically produced by processing and separating the fatty acid fraction of crude tall oil.

Storage Requirements
Tall Oil Fatty Acids should be stored in sealed containers such as IBC drums/plastic drums/stainless steel storage tanks (and it is recommended to fill them with nitrogen or other inert gases to protect them from oxidation and discoloration), and stored in a cool, ventilated, and dry place, avoiding direct sunlight and rain.
The ambient temperature should be maintained between 25-40 ℃ (77-104 ℉). If the storage temperature of the product is too low, thickening, layering, precipitation, or solidification may occur.
It must be heated before use and stirred evenly throughout the entire barrel, without affecting its performance.
