Product Advantages
1. Exceptional solvency: It serves as a powerful solvent for alkyd resins, acrylic resins, polyester resins, nitrocellulose, vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymers, and PU curing agents. It is also used in the synthesis of waterborne resins and as a diluent for waterborne curing agents (exhibiting good hydrophobicity and low reactivity with NCO groups). It can be used in combination with Texanol (ester-alcohol) in waterborne coatings.
2. Non-toxic and low-odor, with a faint, mint-like scent. It can partially replace high-boiling-point solvents that have strong odors, such as cyclohexanone, isophorone, CAC, PMA, and ethylene glycol monobutyl ether.
3. A complete replacement for DBE, offering superior solvency; it improves leveling and helps regulate the drying rate of the paint film.
4. Propylene glycol diacetate (PGDA) features a narrow distillation range, consistent composition, enhanced solvency, and a milder odor. It is well-suited for use as a film-forming aid in waterborne paints.
