Used for the production of pharmaceutical and pesticide intermediates such as pipemidic acid, diethyl ethoxymethylenemalonate (EMME), lunet, amidine, ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, etc.
It is also an intermediate for the synthesis of antimalarial drugs chloroquine and quiniperine, methotrexate dyes, cyanine dyes, development sensitizers, acrylic fibers and other products.
