Accelerator TMTM [ Tetramethylthiuram Monosulfide ] Applications
This product is a non-discoloring, non-polluting super accelerator primarily used for natural and synthetic rubber.
Its activity is approximately 10% lower than that of the accelerator WILLING TMTD, and the tensile strength of the vulcanized rubber is also slightly lower.
It has a critical vulcanization temperature of 121°C and a greater aftereffect than both thiuram disulfide and dithiocarbamate accelerators, exhibiting excellent scorch resistance.
This product allows for a wide range of sulfur dosages.
This product can be used alone or in combination with thiazole, aldehyde-amine, and guanidine accelerators. It acts as an activator for thiazole accelerators.
It has a delayed vulcanization effect in general-purpose (GN-A) butadiene rubber. When used in combination with dithiocarbamate in latex, it can reduce the tendency of early vulcanization of the rubber compound. This product cannot decompose active sulfur and cannot be used in sulfur-free formulations.
