Propylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether Applications
For coatings: This product is low in toxicity and has strong dissolving power. It is widely used as a solvent and coupling agent in inks, paints, and water-based coatings. It is also suitable for styrene-acrylic emulsions, acrylic emulsions, and their latex paint systems. It has the characteristics of lowering film-forming temperature, promoting film coagulation, and ensuring good film condition.
For pesticides: Primarily used as an intermediate in the herbicide metolachlor and as a suspending agent in pesticide emulsions.
Other uses: It has various applications in fuel antifreeze, cleaning agents, extractants, and non-ferrous metal beneficiation agents. It can also be used as a raw material for organic synthesis and as a solvent in printing and dyeing, textile dyes, and textile oils.
