Application Characteristics:
1. Octyl-phenolic tackifying resin has excellent initial tack and is an excellent adhesion promoter for natural rubber and various synthetic rubbers, with particular effectiveness for increasing the viscosity of butadiene rubber (BR), styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), EPDM, and butyl rubber.
2. The presence of a tertiary carbon atom in the alkyl group results in a branched structure, resulting in excellent compatibility with various synthetic rubbers and oils. It is primarily used in laminated rubber products requiring improved initial viscosity, such as tire belts, valves, and conveyor belts.
3. Octyl-phenolic tackifying resin can extend the scorch time of rubber compounds, improving handling safety.
Recommended dosage: 4-8 parts.
