Application
1. N-Hydroxyphthalimide is used in the synthesis of a new class of antibacterials potent against macrolide resistant bacteria. Also used in the synthesis of pyrazolidines, isoxazolidines and tetrahydrooxazines.
2. It is an important raw material. And it is widely used in organic synthesis. It is mainly used as an intermediate in the synthesis of chemical medicines and pesticides. For example, NHPI can be used as a raw material to prepare derivations of acetaldehyde oxime, RNA peptide conjugates of enzymes as anticancer and antiviral drugs, oxazinone amino acid and oxazinone N-carboxymethyl derivatives as antibiotics, and thienopyrimidinediones as regulators of autoimmune diseases. It can be used as an intermediate for transferring elections in electrochemical oxidation reactions, as well as an organic catalytic system for hydrocarbon selective oxidantion reaction under mild conditions. It is also an important substrate for studying free radical catalytic reaction at present.
