Used as a catalyst for the chlorination of organic compounds, a paint drier, and a raw material for gasoline antiknock agents.
Used in feed additives, analytical reagents, the manufacture of dyes and pigments, the smelting of magnesium and aluminum alloys, the production of brownish-black bricks and tiles, as well as in the pharmaceutical and dry-cell battery industries.
It is also used as a micronutrient fertilizer in agriculture.
