3. Product Application of Glutaraldehyde
3.1. In industry, it is mainly used as leather tanning agent, bactericidal preservative and protein fixative. Specific applications include tanning, industrial water treatment, papermaking, oil fields and other fields.
3.2. For medical use, it is mainly used in medical disinfectants, bactericides for animal husbandry and breeding, and photographic film manufacturers.

Glutaraldehyde is a colorless and transparent oily liquid with a slightly pungent and special smell similar to spoiled fruit; it is easily soluble in water (miscible) and can be dissolved in organic solvents such as ethanol and ether,the color of the solution may darken during storage.
