Phenothiazine is an organic compound, yellow to green-gray powder, granular or flake solid. Easily soluble in benzene, ether and hot acetic acid, slightly soluble in alcohol and mineral oil, almost insoluble in petroleum ether; chloroform and water. The color becomes darker after long-term storage, is easily oxidized in sunlight, and can sublimate.
