Calcium Stearate
It is a white powder, non-toxic, slightly soluble in hot ethanol, and decomposes into stearic acid and the corresponding calcium salts when exposed to strong acids. It is hygroscopic in the air.

Calcium Stearate Application
1. This product is suitable for use in industries such as plastics, machinery, rubber, paints, inks, food additives, feed additives, and cosmetics.
2. It serves as a heat stabilizer for rigid PVC products; when used in combination with basic lead salts and lead soaps, it can accelerate the gelation rate.
3. It acts as a halogen scavenger in polypropylene and polyethylene, eliminating the adverse effects of residual catalysts on resin color and stability.
4. It functions as a lubricant for polyolefin fibers and molded products.
5. In rubber processing, it serves as a mold release agent and plasticizer; it is also used as a thickener for lubricating greases, a waterproofing agent for textiles, and a flatting agent in the paint industry.
