Aluminium Diethylphosphinate/ADP
Chemical Name: Aluminium Diethylphosphinate; ADP; CAS 225789-38-8
Cas No.: 225789-38-8
Chemical Formula: C12H30AlO6P3
Molecular Weight: 393.29
Molecular Structure:
Description
It is a white solid powder with good solubility and is soluble in organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol, and chloroform. It is a halogen-free flame retardant which is suitable for use in both thermoplastic and thermoset applications where the most stringent fire retardancy standards must be met. One application is epoxy based laminates for printed circuit boards. It can be readily dispersed in epoxy resin systems when a high shear mixer is used.

Application
1. The main chemical bonds in the structure of aluminum diethyl hypophosphite are P-C,P = O,P-O, and the flame retardant process is more complex, due to the high phosphorus content of aluminum diethyl hypophosphite itself, therefore, it has the basic flame retardant characteristics of the phosphorus-based flame retardant, and has the flame retardant of the condensed phase at the same time.
2. As a catalyst for polymerization reactions, it can improve the performance and stability of polymers.
3. Commonly used for synthesizing high-performance polymers, such as high-performance polyimide and aromatic polyester.
