Properties: Acrolein is a colorless or pale yellow, volatile, and unstable liquid with a pungent, burnt odor similar to that of grease. Acrolein is soluble in water and readily soluble in most organic solvents such as ethanol and acetone. Acrolein is extremely flammable.
Acrolein Applications
Acrolein is widely used in the production of pesticides such as imidacloprid, fungicide glutaraldehyde, fragrance privet aldehyde, and new material cyclohexene formaldehyde.
