4-Isopropylphenol is a memeber of the class of phenols that is phenol which is carrying an isopropyl group at position 4. It has a role as a flavoring agent.It derives from a hydride of a cumene. It is a white to beige-brown crystalline mass. It is slightly soluble in water and soluble in ethanol and ethyl ether.
