Application
1. Material for engineering plastics, dyestuff and polymers such as PSU, PES, PEEK and so no and also used as pharmaceutical and auxiliary intermediates, such as the synthetic treatment of leprosy drugs 4,4'-Diaminodiphenylsulfone.
2. It is used as a precursor to prepare 4,4'-diamino-diphenyl sulfone and polysulfone plastics. It is also used to prepare rigid and temperature resistant polymers such as PES or Udel through polymerization with bisphenol-A and bisphenol-S. Further, the udel polymer finds applications in plumbing pipes, printer cartridges and automobile fuses.
3. It is used in the pharmaceutical industry as an intermediate in the synthesis of various drugs. Its mechanism of action in these applications varies depending on the specific drug being synthesized.
4. Polymer Industry: This chemical is also used in the polymer industry as a crosslinking agent and a flame retardant. It can improve the thermal stability and fire resistance of polymers. The mechanism of action involves forming crosslinks between polymer chains or releasing flame-retardant gases when exposed to heat.
