Applications of 2-Acrylamido-2-Methylpropane Sulfonic Acid
Water Treatment Agents: AMPS and its sodium salt are excellent water treatment agents used for purifying and treating industrial and tap water. They can be used as corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors, water purifiers, and decolorizing agents, effectively removing organic and inorganic impurities from water and improving water quality and purity.
Petroleum Industry: AMPS and its sodium salt are excellent petroleum thickeners used in oil well fracturing, acidizing, and scale inhibition. They can form stable polymers under high temperature and pressure, increasing oil well productivity and improving recovery rates.
