Applications of 2,5-Dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy)hexane
It is used as a crosslinking agent for silicone rubber, polyurethane rubber, ethylene propylene rubber and other rubbers, and can also be used as a crosslinking agent for polyethylene and a vulcanizing agent for unsaturated polyesters. This product does not have the disadvantages of di-tert-butyl peroxide being easy to vaporize or dicumyl peroxide producing an odor. It is an effective high-temperature vulcanizing agent for vinyl silicone rubber, and the products have good tensile strength and low elongation.
