1. It is commonly used as a solvent, intermediate, and raw material in the production of dyes, pesticides, and pharmaceuticals.
2. 2,3-Dichlorotoluene is also used in the synthesis of other compounds, such as herbicides and fungicides.
3. 2,3-Dichlorotoluene is used as a reagent in organic synthesis, in particular that of Lamotrigine (L173250) which is an aniconvulsant drug. It is also used in the manufacture of Felodipine (F232375) which is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker.
