1-Butanol Applications
1-Butanol is primarily used in the manufacture of dibutyl phthalate, aliphatic diacids, and n-butyl ester plasticizers of phosphoric acid, which are widely used in various plastic and rubber products.
1-Butanol is also a raw material for the organic synthesis of butyraldehyde, butyric acid, butyl acetate, butylamine, and butyl lactate.
1-Butanol is also used as an extractant in the production of melamine resin, acrylic acid, oils, pharmaceuticals (such as antibiotics, hormones, and vitamins), and fragrances, as well as an additive in alkyd resin coatings.
Furthermore,1-Butanol can be used as a solvent and dewaxing agent for organic dyes and printing inks.
1-Butanol Storage:
Store separately from oxidizers, reducing agents, and alkalis. Do not mix with other substances. Keep containers sealed. Store in a cool, well-ventilated warehouse, away from fire and heat sources. The storage area should be equipped with spill response equipment and suitable containment materials.
